emerging adult (19-29 years)
Emerging adulthood proceeds adolescence and precedes middle adulthood. This is a transition stage in life. The majority of these people are trying to gain independence but are still dependent on their parents, to a certain extent. They are also either in college or in the work force. Listed below are some characteristics of individuals in this stage.
Transition Area (Age: 19-22 years)
In this area of life, most adults are getting thrown into college or a job with no experience in to how to live in the world. They will then depend on their parents for money. They will also, however, start to mature. They will need to start thinking about their future rather than their past teenage attitudes.

When adults have reached this stage in their life, they are sexually mature. They can then reproduce offspring, or they might wait after they graduate out of college.
