Developmental Psych
Developmental psychology is defined as " a branch of psychology that studies physical, cognitive, and social change throughout the life span." This branch of psychology looks to answer three critical areas:
1. Nature/Nurture: How does a person's environment and experience (nurture) and a person's genetic makeup (nature) influence their development?
2. Continuity/stages: Is a person's life a set of separate stages like stair steps, is it gradual and endless sequence of phases in life?
3. Stability/change: Does our personalities change or stay the same throughout our lifetime?
This website will show you some key concepts (cognitive, social, and physical) of various stages in life.
